Prices of new detached houses unchanged
Prices of new detached houses increased by 0.1 per cent from the third to the fourth quarter of 2003. Adjusted by seasonal variations the prices increased by 1.4 per cent.
From the fourth quarter of 2002 to the fourth quarter of 2003, the prices increased by 3.4 per cent. Prices of new detached houses reached a low point in the first quarter of 1993. Since then prices have increased by 95.1 per cent. In comparison, the consumer price index increased by 25.4 per cent during the same period of time.
A total of 485 observations have been used in the calculation of the price index.
