Wholesale prices up 0.2 per cent

Wholesale prices increased by 0.2 per cent from the 3rd quarter to the 4th quarter of 2013 and are 2.3 per cent higher than the same quarter last year.

'Food, beverages and tobacco' decreased by 1.1 per cent from the 3rd to the 4th quarter of 2013 but increased by 5.2 per cent last year and accounts for 30 per cent of turnover within the wholesale trade.

'Solid, liquid and gaseous fuels' increased by 1.4 per cent last quarter and increased by 0.8 per cent last year, and accounts for 16 per cent of turnover within the wholesale trade.
