Wholesale prices up 3.1 per cent
Prices in wholesale trade increased by 3.1 per cent from the 4th quarter of 2013 to the 1st quarter of 2014, and are 4.5 per cent higher than one year ago.

Prices in the wholesale of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 6.4 per cent from the 4th quarter of 2013 to the 1st quarter of 2014, and by 9.1 per cent over the past year. Higher prices of fish contributed to the increase within nutritional beverages and tobacco. Food products, beverages and tobacco account for about 30 per cent of turnover within the wholesale trade.
Prices of solid, liquid and gaseous fuels increased by 4.2 per cent from the previous quarter and were 4.5 per cent higher than a year earlier.
Household goods and goods for personal use had a rise of 0.7 per cent last quarter and 3.2 per cent last year. Prices of clothing and footwear went up by 0.3 per cent last quarter and increased by 1.9 per cent in the last year.
