Wholesale prices increased 0.8 per cent

Wholesale prices increased by 0.8 per cent from the 2nd quarter to the 3rd quarter of 2014 and are 3.2 per cent higher than the same quarter last year.

Prices in food, beverages and tobacco increased by 0.8 per cent from the 2nd to the 3rd quarter of 2014, and by 4.5 per cent from the corresponding period the year before. Food, beverages and tobacco account for 30 per cent of turnover within the wholesale trade.

Prices in solid, liquid and gaseous fuels decreased by 0.2 per cent last quarter and by 1.4 per cent last year. Solid, liquid and gaseous fuels account for 16 per cent of turnover within the wholesale trade.
