Moderate increase in the EEA Consumer prices

The Harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 104.6 (1996=100) in September an increase of 0.1 per cent from August. From September 1998 to September 1999 the HICP increased by 1.2 per cent. The year to year growth in August was 1.2 per cent.

The HICP for Norway in September was 106.9, and from August to September the prices rose by 0.8 per cent . The year to year growth in September was 1.8 per cent.
