EEA consumer prices rose by 1.9 per cent
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 105.9 (1996=100) in March, an increase of 0.5 per cent from February. From March 1999 to March 2000 the HICP increased by 1.9 per cent. The year to year growth in February was 1.9 per cent.
The HICP for the European Monetary Union was 105.6 in March, up 0.4 per cent from February. The year to year growth in March was 2.1 per cent.
For Norway the HICP in March was 109.3, an increase of 0.3 per cent from February. From March last year the prices have increased by 2.6 per cent.
