EEA consumer prices up 2.1 per cent
The harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 106,6 (1996=100) in June, an increase of 0.5 per cent from May. From June 1999 to June 2000 the HICP increased by 2.1 per cent. The year to year growth in May was 1.7 per cent.
The HICP for the European Monetary Union was 106.3 in June, up 0.5 per cent from May. The year to year growth in June was 2.4 per cent.
For Norway the HICP in June was 110.5, an increase of 0.6 per cent from May. From June last year the prices have increased by 3.5 per cent.
