EEA consumer prices up 2.6 per cent

The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 107.5 (1996=100) in November, an increase of 0.3 per cent from October. From November 1999 to November 2000 the HICP increased by 2.6 per cent. The year to year growth in October was 2.4 per cent.

The HICP for the European Monetary Union was 107.3 in November, up 0.3 per cent from October. The year to year growth in November was 2.9 per cent.

For Norway the HICP in November was 111,2, an increase of 0.4 per cent from October. From November last year the prices have increased by 3.1 per cent.
