EEA consumer prices up 2.8 per cent
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 109.6 (1996=100) in June, an increase of 0.1 per cent from May. From June 2000 to June 2001 the HICP increased by 2.8 per cent. The year to year growth in May was 3.1 per cent.
The HICP for the European Monetary Union was 109.5 in June, up 0.1 per cent from May. The year to year growth in June was 3.0 per cent.
For Norway the HICP in June was 114.2, the same as in May. From June last year the prices have increased by 3.3 per cent.
