EEA and EU consumer prices up 2.6 per cent
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 109,3. (1996=100) in July, a decrease of 0.3 per cent from June. From July 2000 to July 2001 the HICP increased by 2.6 per cent. The year to year growth in June was 2.8 per cent.
The HICP for the European Monetary Union was 109.3 in July, down 0.2 per cent from June. The year to year growth in July was 2.6 per cent.
For Norway the HICP in July was 112.4, down 1,6 per cent from June. From July last year the prices have increased by 2.2 per cent.
