Lower consumer price growth in Norway than in the EEA

The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 113.1 (1996=100) in June. The year-to-year change in the EEA was 1.8 per cent in June. In comparison, the year-to-year growth in Norway was 1.5 per cent in June.

The HICP in the Euro-zone was 113.3 in June. The year-to-year growth in June was 2.0 per cent, up from 1.9 per cent in May.

For Norway the HICP was 115.5 in June, down 0.3 per cent from May. From June 2002 to June 2003 the consumer prices rose by 1.5 per cent, down from 1.8 per cent in May.
