HICP rose 0.2 per cent
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for Norway increased by 0.2 per cent from October to November 2010. The prices of energy goods contributed the most, while the prices of food decreased.
The HICP for Norway was 111.8 (2005=100) in November 2010, compared to 110.1 in November 2009. The year-to-year growth was 1.5 per cent in November 2010, down 0.2 percentage points from October.

EU, EEA and the euro area
Preliminary data for October 2010 shows that the HICP for both the EU and the EEA was 112.4, while the HICP for the euro area was 110.5. The year-to-year growth in the HICP in October was 2.3 per cent for both the EEA and the EU, while it was 1.9 per cent for the euro area. In the euro area, the year-to-year growth for November 2010 is estimated at 1.9 per cent.
