HICP rose 0.4 per cent
The Harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for Norway increased by 0.4 per cent from February 2011 to March 2011. The prices of clothing and footwear contributed most, while the prices for electricity and food decreased.
The HICP for Norway was 113.4 (2005=100) in March 2011, compared to 112.4 in March 2010. The year-to-year growth was 0.9 per cent, down 0.2 percentage points from February.

EU, EEA and the euro area
Preliminary data for February 2011 shows that the HICP for the EU and the EEA was 113.4, while the HICP for the euro area was 111.0. The year-to-year growth in the HICP in February was 2.8 per cent for both the EEA and the EU, and 2.4 per cent for the euro area. In the euro area, the year-to-year growth for March 2011 is estimated at 2.6 per cent.
