No change in HICP

The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for Norway remained unchanged from March to April 2012. Increased prices for books and package holidays contributed to growth in the HICP, but the effect was offset by lower food prices.

Harmonized index of consumer prices

The HICP for Norway was 114.0 (2005=100) in April 2012 compared to 114.1 in April 2011. This implies a negative year-to-year growth equal to 0.1 per cent, down 0.6 percentage points from March.

See the consumer price index for more details.
