Moderate increase in the EEA Consumer prices

The Harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 104.7 (1996=100) in October, an increase of 0.1 per cent from September. From October 1998 to October 1999 the HICP increased by 1.3 per cent. The year to year growth in September was 1.2 per cent.

The HICP for Norway in October was 107.5, and from September to October the prices rose by 0.6 per cent . The year to year growth in October was 2.4 per cent.
