New dwellings more expensive
On average, prices for new dwellings have increased by 10.4 per cent in the 4th quarter of 2016 compared to the same quarter in 2015. The increase in prices was highest for multi-dwellings.

Prices for new flats and small houses increased by 15.0 per cent from the 4th quarter of 2015 to the 4th quarter of 2016. From the 3rd quarter to the 4th quarter of 2016, prices increased by 5.0 per cent. Prices are measured at the time of sale.
Prices for new detached houses have increased by 2.8 per cent from the 4th quarter of 2015 to the 4th quarter of 2016. From the 3rd quarter to the 4th quarter of 2016 there has been a weak increase in prices by 0.2 per cent. Prices are measured at the completion date registered in the Cadaster.
Prices for new dwellings in total have increased by 10.4 per cent from the 4th quarter of 2015 to the 4th quarter of 2016, and by 3.2 per cent from the 3rd quarter to the 4th quarter of 2016.
Prices for existing flats, small houses and detached houses have increased by 15.9, 9.9 and 7.6 per cent respectively from the 4th quarter of 2015 to the 4th quarter of 2016.

Prices of new detached houses and new multi-dwellings are collected at different stages in the building process. New detached houses are measured at the completion date registered in the Cadastre, while new multi-dwellings are measured at the point of sale.
