No price change for telecom services

The prices for telecommunication services remained unchanged from the 3r d to the 4t h quarter of 2009, while the prices for data consultant services fell by 0.3 per cent.

From the 4th quarter of 2008 to the 4th quarter of 2009, the prices of telecommunication services decreased by 3.4 per cent. Meanwhile, the prices of data consultant services fell by 2.0 per cent.

New publication routine for price indices for services

From the first quarter of 2009, the price indices for services are published according to the new classification of activities (SIC2007).The earlier separate publications of price indices for telecommunication services and for data consultant services have been amalgamated in one publication since then. A new reference period for the price indices for services was introduced in the 1st quarter of 2009, and is now set to 2006=100, according to Eurostat’s regulations. The index for data consultant services has been adjusted in all the tables.
