Higher price growth for employment activities
After two quarters with low price growth, the prices for employment activities rose by 2.1 per cent in the 2nd quarter of 2010.
Compared to the corresponding quarter in 2009 the prices rose by 4.9 per cent in this quarter.
Cheaper car rental for companies and private customers
After a long period of price growth, the market experienced a decrease in the 2n d quarter of 2010. In the corresponding quarter last year the customers paid 2 per cent less for car rental than they did in the 2n d quarter of 2010.
The price development in this industry varies between the different customer groups. For the group of private customers the prices increased by 2.9 per cent. In this quarter these customers accounted for almost 20 per cent of the turnover in the industry.
Increased growth in the prices for cleaning activities
The prices for cleaning activities have been at a stable level since the 3rd quarter of 2009. Compared to the previous quarter, the prices rose by 2 per cent in the 2n d quarter of 2010. Between the 2n d quarter of 2009 and the 2n d quarter of 2010 the price growth was 3.7 per cent.
Continuous growth in the prices for business consulting and legal activities
The prices for business and management consultancy activities increased by 4.1 per cent in the 2n d quarter of 2010, compared to the same period last year. Compared to the previous quarter the prices were unchanged.
Compared to the same period last year the prices for legal activities rose by 4.1 per cent in the 2n d quarter of 2010. In this quarter the price growth was most noticeable for the private clients, who experienced a growth of 5.7 per cent

From the 1st quarter of 2012, the base period is set at 2010=100. This will only result in a change of the index level and will not affect any other data.
