Higher prices for legal activities
The prices for legal activities rose by 3.7 per cent from the 1st quarter of 2012 to the 1st quarter of 2013. From the 4th quarter of 2012, the growth was 2.4 per cent.

A price increase was also experienced for the other industries within the division of legal, accounting and auditing activities from the 1st quarter of 2012 to the 1st quarter of 2013. Accounting and auditing activities had an increase of 3.2 per cent. As in the last few quarters, the sub-index for accounting activities accounted for the highest growth.
The prices for business consultancy activities also went up from the 1st quarter of 2012 to the 1st quarter of 2013, but only by 0.5 per cent. Compared to the 4th quarter of 2012, the prices in the 1st quarter of 2013 were 1.1 per cent higher.
Lower price increase for civil engineering
For civil engineering activities, the prices grew by 1.4 per cent from the 1st quarter of 2012 to the 1st quarter of 2013. This is a weaker growth than this industry has seen in recent quarters. The prices were almost unchanged from the 4th quarter of 2012 to the 1st quarter of 2013.
Prices also rose within the other industries in the division of architectural and engineering activities. For architectural activities, the prices were 3.8 per cent higher in the 1st quarter of 2013 than in the 1st quarter of 2012, while increasing 4.2 per cent for technical testing and analysis in the same period.
Cheaper car rental
Compared to the 1st quarter of 2012, consumers paid 5.7 per cent less for their cars in the 1st quarter of 2013. Even though the biggest decrease occurred among foreign tourists, a lower price was also experienced among private households and private and public enterprises.
Prices were almost unchanged in the advertising industry from the 1st quarter of 2012 to the 1st quarter of 2013.
Big price increase for employment activities
Price growth for employment activities is at its highest since the 3rd quarter of 2011. From the 1st quarter of 2012 to the 1st quarter of 2013, the prices increased by 5.9 per cent. Prices from the 4th quarter of 2012 to the 1st quarter of 2013 also saw quite a large increase, of 3 per cent.
Cleaning activities experienced a stable increase in prices. In the 1st quarter of 2013, the increase is once again close to 3 per cent, compared to the 1st quarter of 2012.
Additional information
From the 1st quarter of 2012, the base period is set at 2010=100. This will only result in a change of the index level and will not affect any other data.
