Large price growth in architectural activities
Prices for architectural activities rose by 4.5 per cent from the 3rd quarter of 2012 to the 3rd quarter of 2013, which is the highest yearly growth since the 3rd quarter of 2010. Compared to the 2nd quarter of 2013, the prices were 1.3 per cent higher in the 3rd quarter of 2013.

All the other industries in the division of architectural and engineering activities experienced a lower growth than the previous quarters. The prices for technical testing and analysis increased by 2.5 per cent from the 3rd quarter of 2012 to the 3rd quarter of 2013, while the prices for civil engineering rose by 1.3 per cent in the same period. Both these industries had approximately the same prices in the 3rd quarter of 2013 compared to the previous quarter.
Increase for all the industries within legal, accounting and auditing activities
Within the division for legal, accounting and auditing activities, business consultancy activities had the highest price increase in the last year. From the 3rd quarter of 2012 to the 3rd quarter of 2013, the prices grew 3.8 per cent. In that same period, the prices for accounting and auditing activities rose 3.4 per cent, while legal activities experienced a price increase of 3 per cent.
Stable price growth for cleaning activities
The prices for cleaning activities continue to increase at the same rate as before, and went up 2.8 per cent from the 3rd quarter of 2012 to the 3rd quarter of 2013.
Advertising service prices went up 1.7 per cent from the 3rd quarter of 2012 to the 3rd quarter of 2013. Even though this is considered to be a weak increase compared to some of the other industries, it is the highest growth for this industry since the 4th quarter of 2011.
There is still quite a solid growth for the prices in employment activities. Although the prices in the 3rd quarter of 2013 were down 1.1 per cent from the 2nd quarter of 2013, they were nevertheless 6.2 per cent higher than the 3rd quarter of 2012.
Additional information
From the 1st quarter of 2012, the base period is set at 2010=100. This will only result in a change of the index level and will not affect any other data.
