Prices in the industry group “Air passenger transport” in the 4th quarter of 2014 were 12.7 per cent higher than in the same quarter the previous year. Compared to the 3rd quarter, the prices increased 2.4 per cent.

The price index for “Air passenger transport” ended at 104.3 in the 4th quarter of 2014. This is around the same level as about two years ago, in the 1st quarter of 2013, when the index was 103.6, and five years ago with the index around 103.

Stable prices within “Freight transport by road”

The total index for “Freight road transport” increased by 0.9 per cent between the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2014. Compared to the 4th quarter of 2013, the total index increased by 1.7 per cent.

Minor changes in “Storage and warehousing” and “Cargo handling”

Compared with the previous quarter, there were no changes for “Storage and warehousing” and “Cargo handling”. Compared to the 4th quarter of 2013, the prices for “Storage and warehousing” increased by 0.2 per cent. For “Cargo handling” there was an increase of 0.9 per cent in the same period.

Further small price changes for “Postal and courier activities”

The total index for “Postal and courier activities” increased by 0.3 per cent from the 3rd quarter of 2014. During the last year there was an increase of 4.2 per cent.
