Storage prices remain stable

Prices for storage and warehousing increased with 2.8 percent in the 3rd quarter of 2015 compared to the same quarter last year. Compared to 2nd quarter 2015 there was an increase of 0.4 per cent.

Storage of dry goods increased with 5.3 per cent, while storage of frozen/cooled goods and other storage decreased by respectively 0.3 and 1.9 per cent compared to the same period in 2014.

Price increase for “Freight transport by road”

"Freight transport by road" increased with 2.3 percent from 3rd quarter of 2014 to 3rd quarter of 2015. Compared to 2nd quarter of 2015 prices remained stable. All freight types have a price increase compared to 3rd quarter of 2014.

More expensive airline tickets

The total index for passenger air transport increased with 2.3 per cent compared to 3rd quarter 2014. Compared to 2nd quarter 2015 the index fell 2.5 per cent. Business travels decreased with 1.1 per cent compared to 3rd quarter 2014. Tickets for private customers increased with 4.3 per cent during the same period.

Rising prices in “Cargo handling”

The total index for “Cargo handling” was 110.9 in the 3rd quarter 2015, an increase of 2.0 per cent from 3rd quarter 2014. Compared to 2nd quarter 2015 the index decreased with 0.1 per cent.

More expensive letters and parcels

The total index of “Postal and courier activities” increased 3.8 per cent compared to the 3rd quarter of 2014, while there was a decrease of 0.1 per cent compared to 2nd quarter of 2015. The sub-indices for universal postal services and other postal and courier activities increased with 3.7 and 4.0 per cent respectively from 3rd quarter 2014 to 3rd quarter 2015.
