Moderate price increases for cargo handling

Prices in the industry group “Cargo handling” were 1.9 per cent higher in the 4th quarter of 2015 than in the same quarter the previous year. Compared to the 3rd quarter, prices fell 0.1 per cent.

The index for “Cargo handling” ended at 110.8 in the 4th quarter of 2015. The level has increased slightly in the last two years; in the 4th quarter of 2013 the index showed 107.7.

Higher prices in “Passenger air transport”

Prices in the industry group "Passenger air transport" rose by 4.4 per cent from the 4th quarter of 2014 to the 4th quarter of 2015. In comparison to the 3rd quarter of 2015, prices increased 3.8 per cent.

Stable prices within “Freight transport by road“

The total index of "Freight transport by road" increased by 1.3 per cent compared to the 4th quarter of 2014. From the 3rd quarter of 2015 the overall index decreased by 0.1 per cent.

Price increase in “Storage and warehousing”

Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2015, prices increased by 0.5 per cent in the industry group “Storage and warehousing”. Prices for storage services rose 3.3 per cent compared to the 4th quarter of 2014.

Price increase in “Postal and courier activities”1

The total index of “Postal and courier activities” increased by 3.6 per cent compared to the 4th quarter of 2014. From the 3rd quarter of 2015 to the 4th quarter of 2015 prices increased by 0.1 per cent.
