Decrease in January

Norwegian camping sites had 98 000 overnight stays in January 2001, 16 000 or 14 per cent less than in January 2000. Both business from abroad and the domestic traffic decreased.

Compared with January 2000, Denmark increased, while Sweden and Germany decreased.

Increased capacity

In January 2001, 240 camping sites were open with 4 015 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for January last year were 235 camping sites and 3 925 cabins/rooms.
