Less camping stays in March
Norwegian camping sites had 162 000 overnight stays in March 2001, 9 000 or 5,4 per cent less than in March 2000. Business from abroad increased and the domestic traffic decreased.
Compared with March 2000, Denmark and Germany increased, while Sweden decreased.
So far in 2001
business from abroad and the domestic market have both decreased.
Increased capacity
In March 2001, 274 camping sites were open with 4 721 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for March last year were almost the same: 274 camping sites and 4 577 cabins/rooms.
