Decrease in May
Norwegian camping sites had 471 000 overnight stays in May 2001, 13 000 or 2.7 per cent more than in May 2000. Business from abroad increased while the domestic traffic decreased.
Compared with May 2000, only Finland decreased, while the other foreign countries increased.
So far in 2001
business from abroad and the domestic market have decreased.
Decreased capacity
In May 2001, 577 camping sites were open with 8 487 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for May last year were 588 camping sites and 8 704 cabins/rooms.
