Increase in June
Norwegian camping sites had 1,18 million overnight stays in June 2001, 50 000 or 4.4 per cent more than in June 2000. Domestic traffic increased while business from abroad decreased.
Compared with June 2000, Germany decreased by 12.1 per cent, while the other two large foreign markets, Netherlands and Sweden increased by 3.6.
So far in 2001
the domestic market have increased while business from abroad have decreased.
Decreased capacity
In June 2001, 857 camping sites were open with 12 355 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for June last year were 884 camping sites and 12 642 cabins/rooms.
