Slight decrease in July
Norwegian camping sites had 2,66 million overnight stays in July 2001, 2 000 more than in July 2000. Domestic traffic increased while business from abroad decreased.
Compared with July 2000, Sweden decreased by 12.1 per cent, while the other two large foreign markets, Netherlands and Germany increased by 6 per cent and 1.3 per cent.
So far in 2001
the domestic market have increased while business from abroad have decreased.
Decreased capacity
In July 2001, 872 camping sites were open with 12 609 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for July last year were 908 camping sites and 12 962 cabins/rooms.
