Decrease in overnight stays
Norwegian camping sites had 152 000 overnight stays in October 2001, 25 000 less than in October 2000. Domestic traffic decreased fifteen per cent while the total business from abroad decreased teen per cent.
Compared with October 2000, Germany has increased by 37 per cent, while Denmark decreased by 32 per cent.
So far in 2001
the business from abroad has decreased, while the number of guest-nights from Norway was about unchanged.
Decreased capacity
In October 2001, 272 camping sites were open with 4 684 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for October last year were 279 camping sites and 4 793 cabins/rooms.
