Increase in November
Norwegian camping sites had 135 000 overnight stays in November 2001. This is 14 000 more than in November 2000. Domestic traffic increased 10 per cent while the total business from abroad increased 24 per cent.
Compared with November 2000, Sweden has increased by 20 per cent, while Denmark decreased 54 per cent. Both Germany and Great Britain increased, while the Netherlands decreased.
So far in 2001
both the business from abroad and the domestic market has decreased.
Decreased capacity
In November 2001, 245 camping sites were open with 4 307 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for November 2000 were 254 camping sites and 4 409 cabins/rooms.
