The decrease in number of passengers is larger for the southbound route than for the northbound route. Hurtigruten carried 75 390 passengers southbound, which is a decrease of 7 788 passengers or 9.4 per cent compared to the 3rd quarter last year. 74 174 passengers travelled by Hurtigruten northbound, which is a decrease of 3.8 per cent compared to the 3rd quarter last year.

For June, July and August, 172 347 passengers travelled by Hurtigruten this year. Compared to the same period last year, this is a decrease of 9.5 per cent.
