Decline this winter
Norwegian and foreign intermediaries of huts arranged a total of 477 000 overnight stays in private cabins in Norway the winter 2001. This is a decline of 2.6 per cent compared with the winter season last year, and a decline of 5.4 per cent compared with January to April 1999.
The number of German overnight stays increased by more than 1.9 per cent, while the overnight stays by Danes decreased by 0.6 per cent compared with January to April 2000.
Down in March, up in April
There were 106 000 overnight stays in April, an incline of 7.9 per cent compared with April last year. The domestic business went down, but the foreign business increased.
There were 139 000 overnight stays in March, which is a decrease of 4.7 per cent from March last year. Both domestic and foreign traffic decreased.
