Increase from the Swedish market

Norwegian and foreign intermediaries of huts arranged a total of 502 000 overnight stays in private cabins in Norway in the winter season (January - April) this year. This is an increase of 5 per cent compared with the same period last year.

The foreign business increased by 3 per cent, and the domestic business increased by 12 per cent.

Sweden is the third largest winter-market, and increased by 13 per cent compared with the winter season last year. The two largest foreign winter markets; Denmark and Germany, decreased.

In May there was an increase of 15 per cent. The domestic market, which is only 7 per cent of the total, increased by 74 per cent, and the number of overnight stays from the foreign countries increased by 13 per cent.
