Germany up 11 per cent
The number of overnight stays in Norwegian holiday dwellings increased from 52 000 in June last year to 55 000 in June this year. This represents a 7 per cent increase. However, the number of overnight stays by domestic guests decreased by 11 per cent, while the number of overnight stays by international guests increased by 22 per cent.
Germany, which represents nearly 60 per cent of the total international traffic, increased by 11 per cent compared with June last year.
So far in 2002
the number of overnight stays in Norwegian holiday dwellings has increased by 8 per cent. The number of overnight stays by domestic guests increased by 2 per cent, while the number of stays by international guests increased by 14 per cent. The number of stays by guests from Denmark increased the most.
Increased room capacity
In June 2002, 213 establishments were open, with a total of 1 629 cabins/rooms. The corresponding figures for June 2001 were 215 establishments and 1 582 cabins/rooms.
