Norwegians stay more in holiday dwellings
Norwegian holiday dwellings had 9 100 overnight stays in November 2000. This is 1 400 more overnight stays than in November 1999. Business from abroad decreased 7.6 per cent, while the domestic market increased 22.1 per cent.
Compared with November 1999, the largest foreign market, Sweden, decreased 68.5 per cent
To date
Norwegian holiday dwellings have recorded 388 000 overnight stays so far in 2000, an increase of 6.6 per cent compared with November 1999. Both the foreign and the domestic market increased.
Increased capacity
In November 2000, 105 establishments were open with a total of 852 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for November 1999 were 91 establishments and 752 cabins/rooms.
