Domestic market increased
Norwegian holiday dwellings had 401 000 overnight stays in 2000. This is 23 000 more overnight stays than in 1999. Both business from abroad and the domestic market increased.
Compared with 1999, the largest foreign market, Germany, decreased 2 per cent
December
Norwegian holiday dwellings have recorded 14 700 overnight stays in December 2000, a decrease by 9 per cent compared with December 1999. Both the foreign and the domestic market decreased.
Increased capacity
In December 2000, 108 establishments were open with a total of 862 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for December 1999 were 95 establishments and 792 cabins/rooms.
