The number of foreign visitors increased

Norwegian holiday dwellings had 32 000 overnight stays in February 2001, about the same number as last year. Business from abroad increased but the domestic market decreased.

 

Compared with February 2000, the largest foreign markets as Denmark decreased, while Sweden and Germany increased.

Increased capacity

In February 2001, 119 establishments were open with a total of 1 016 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for February 2000 were 107 establishments and 925 cabins/rooms.
