Increase in August
Norwegian holiday dwellings had 73 000 overnight stays in August 2001, 19 per cent more than in August 2000. Both business from abroad and the domestic market increased.
Compared with August 2000, the two largest foreign markets, The Netherlands and Germany increased. Only Denmark decreased in August 2001.
So far in 2001

Increased capacity
In August 2001, 227 establishments were open with a total of 1 670 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for August 2000 were 191 establishments and 1 387 cabins/rooms.
