Holiday dwellings house more foreigners
Norwegian holiday dwellings had 21 000 overnight stays in October 2001, 18 per cent more than in October 2000. Business from abroad increased by 75 per cent and the domestic market increased by 1 per cent.
Compared with October 2000, the largest foreign markets, Germany increased with 73 per cent while Denmark increased 55 per cent.
So far in 2001
both business from abroad and the domestic market have increased.
Increased capacity
In October 2001, 137 establishments were open with a total of 1 123 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for October 2000 were 124 establishments and 983 cabins/rooms.
