Increased traffic in 2001
Norwegian holiday dwellings had 458 000 overnight stays in 2001. This is 57 000 more overnight stays than in 2000. Both business from abroad and the domestic market increased.
Compared with 2000, the largest foreign market, Germany, increased by 13 per cent. Netherlands increased by 107 per cent, while Denmark decreased by 7 per cent.
December
Norwegian holiday dwellings have recorded 19 000 overnight stays in December 2001, an increase by 29 per cent compared with December 2000. Both the foreign and the domestic market increased.
Increased capacity
In December 2001, 113 establishments were open with a total of 1 005 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for December 2000 were 108 establishments and 862 cabins/rooms.
