More overnight stays in March
Norwegian holiday dwellings had 45 000 overnight stays in March 2002, 26 per cent more than in March 2001. Both business from abroad and the domestic market increased. One possible explanation is that Easter this year was in March and last year in April.
Compared with March 2001, the largest foreign markets, Denmark and Germany had an increase, while Sweden decreased.
Increased cabins/rooms
In March 2002, 131 establishments were open with a total of 1 136 cabins/room. The corresponding figures for March 2001 were 130 establishments and 1 087 cabins/rooms.
