Germany up 10 per cent
There were 28 000 overnight stays in Norwegian holiday dwellings in May 2002. This represents a 10 per cent increase compared with May 2001. The number of overnight stays by domestic guests increased by 14 per cent, while the number of overnight stays by international guests increased by 7 per cent.
Germany, which represents two thirds of the total international traffic, increased by 10 per cent compared with May last year.
So far in 2002
the number of overnight stays in Norwegian holiday dwellings has increased by 9 per cent. The number of overnight stays by domestic guests increased by 7 per cent, while the number of stays by international guests increased by 11. The number of stays by guests from Germany increased the most.
Stable capacity
In May 2002, 175 establishments were open, with a total of 1 321 cabins/rooms. The corresponding figures for May 2001 were 178 establishments and 1 337 cabins/rooms.
