Increase in costs
The cost index for buses had a 3.2 per cent hike from the 4th quarter 2012 to the same quarter in 2013. The index increased by 0.7 per cent in relation to the 3rd quarter of 2013.

Higher labour costs
The index of labour costs increased the most, by 3.3 per cent. The index increased 0.8 per cent from the 3rd quarter of 2013.
Higher diesel costs
The index of diesel costs increased by 3.0 per cent compared to the same quarter in 2012, while from the 3rd quarter of 2013 there was no change.
Higher administrative and maintenance costs
The index for administrative and maintenance costs grew by 2.9 and 2.8 per cent respectively from the same quarter of 2012. From the 3rd quarter of 2013, the increase was 0.4 and 0.6 per cent respectively.
Falling capital costs
The index of capital costs decreased by 2.4 per cent from 2012 to 2013, but compared to the previous quarter, there was an increase of 2.2 per cent.
