Uncertainty due to strikeOpen and readClose

A correct capacity and capacity utilization is entirely dependent on respondents sending SSB correct available capacity and the number of opening days. This is particularly important at a time in which many accommodation establishments have been fully or partially on strike. Figures SSB received for April 2016 shows that not many have adjusted capacity. We have not been able figur out how many rooms in practice were not available due to strikes. However, we see that some respondents that were closed one week in April because of the strike have reduced the number of days opened. One must therefore exercise caution when using capacity related figures for April and May 2016.
