New July record for hotel guest nights

The number of guest nights in Norwegian hotels reached a record high of 3.1 million in July 2016. This is an increase of 8 per cent compared with July 2015.

Foreign guest nights increased by 14 per cent at Norwegian hotels to 1.2 million. Norwegian guest nights went up 4 per cent in July 2016.

Lodging revenue for Norwegian hotels increased by 10 per cent from NOK 1 277 million in July 2015 to NOK 1 408 million in July 2016.

The number of guest nights in Norwegian accommodation establishments reached a total of 6.2 million in July 2016. This is an increase of 10 per cent compared with July 2015.
