All-time high for hotel guest nights in 2016

There were 22.6 million guest nights in 2016, an increase of 4 per cent compared with 2015.

Norwegian guest nights increased by 2 per cent to 16 million, while foreign guest nights increased by 10 per cent to 7 million.

The number of guest nights in Norwegian hotels increased by 4 per cent to 1.2 million in December 2016. Norwegian and foreign hotel guest nights went up respectively 4 and 3 per cent compared with December 2015.

Lodging revenue for Norwegian hotels increased by 3 per cent from NOK 698 million in December 2015 to NOK 717 million in December 2016.
