The publication of statistics from January 2020 and onward will use the new counties in Norway. The statistics will be published, due to new regulations from the EU, on total guest nights on municipalities, where several have been merged in order to publish figures. Statistics Norway will also expand the publication of arrivals, now also including camping sites and holiday dwellings. In order to provide figures by county for all accommodation types, it has been necessary to merge holiday dwellings and youth hostels. There will be a break in some tables. For more information, see changes.
