Solid growth for water and land transport
Turnover in the industry section ‘water transport’ increased 13.5 per cent in the second quarter this year compared with the same quarter of 2014. At the same time, turnover increased 4.4 per cent in the industry section ‘land transport and transport via pipelines’.

Within ‘water transport’, the turnover in the divisions ‘sea and coastal freight water transport’ and ‘sea and coastal passenger water transport’ went up by 14.5 and 3.7 per cent respectively compared with the same period in 2014.
Under the industry section ‘land transport and transport via pipelines’ the turnover in the industry group ‘freight transport by road’ increased by 5.0 per cent.
Slight growth for air transport
The turnover index for the division ‘air transport’ decreased by 9.6 per cent compared with the same period in 2014. The division encompasses firms within ‘air transport with passengers’ and ‘air transport with goods’, but the division ‘air transport with passengers’ dominates the figures for the whole industry.
Turnover growth for the information and communication industry
Turnover for companies within the industry section ‘information and communication’ increased by 5.1 per cent from the second quarter of 2014 to the same period in 2015.
Slight growth in accommodation and food and beverage service activities
The turnover index for the industry section increased by 2.8 per cent compared with the second quarter in 2014. Turnover for ‘accommodation’ went slightly down, by 0.7 per cent, while turnover for ‘food and beverage service activities’ increased by 4.8 per cent.
