Good year for hotels and restaurants

Enterprises had an increase in turnover of 4.5 per cent to NOK 71.0 billion in 2014, and employed nearly 96 400 persons.

The industry division food and beverage service activities employed 66 700 persons in 2014. Turnover grew by 4.7 per cent to NOK 44.6 billion over the same period.

The 2 900 enterprises in the industry division accommodation employed 29 700 persons in 2014, which is 1.4 per cent more than in 2013. Turnover grew by 4.2 per cent to NOK 26.4 billion in 2014.
