Passenger air transport with solid growth
The industry group passenger air transport had an increase in turnover of 11.3 per cent from 2011 to 2012. With a turnover of NOK 29.1 billion, the group reached its highest level ever.

In 2012, the industry section transportation and storage had a turnover of NOK 343 billion; an increase of 6.5 per cent compared to 2011. The number of persons employed reached 152 800 in 2012.
Strong growth in turnover for sea and coastal freight transport
The industry group sea and costal freight transport had an increase in turnover of 10 per cent, reaching NOK 123.5 billion in 2012. The number of persons employed increased by 3.9 per cent in the same period.
Stable growth in land transport
In 2012, the land transport division had a turnover of NOK 73.4 billion compared to NOK 69.9 billion in 2011; an increase of 4.9 per cent. The number of enterprises fell from 16 200 in 2011 to 16 000 in 2012. The number of persons employed had a slight increase.
Slight increase for warehousing and support activities for transportation
The industry division for warehousing and support activities for transportation had a turnover of NOK 88.2 billion in 2012 compared to NOK 85 billon in 2011.
